The view is really nice, and the staff are very, very welcoming
The room is a bit cramped, with two beds above each other, rather a Youth Hostel feeling, but it didn't really matter
The different decor in the rooms and family atmosphere.
The rooms were large, interesting and clean.
The half board was expensive with very little choice or quantity. We were offered only spaghetti with chill oil or lasagne (with one choice of soup and one dessert) despite there being an extensive a la carte and daily menu. When we looked at the a la carte the next day our meal would have cost about 16 euros when we were actually charged 25! The quality was ok but we were still hungry at the end as there had been so little protein. Unlike everywhere else we stayed in Austria, there were almost no vegetables and no salad as well as no meat! The breakfast was quite gentile with a nice fruit salad but again lacking in quantity and relying on bread with no cooked option at all. This would not be a good place to eat if you were looking to go hiking or skiing. Also no spa but we used the public felsentherme which was lovely. The owner seemed friendly on arrival but was then rather glum throughout. The waitresses insisted on speaking only english to us despite our, admittedly poor, attempts at german which spoils the atmosphere a bit as well.
